About Jayden Swann
Jayden Swann is a 3D generalist based in Michigan. In addition to her interests in writing and story-telling, she specializes in 3D modeling, animation, and the digital realm.
Jayden’s passion for 3D art has led to numerous team projects focused on 3D environments and game development. Within these projects, Jayden has most often worked in the concept development, modeling, and texturing side of production, working with team members to bring their ideas to light.
Through her digital art, using the Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk Maya, Jayden often finds a way to blend animation and production with her passion for storytelling to create thorough and complete compositions from any possible angle.
Jayden’s process has been defined by years of reading and writing, always tackling a new project “Story First”. She has found that a work without a story is most often a work without a purpose, which is why pre-production is the most valuable step in any project she works on.

Artist Statement
In the process of oscillating between 2D and 3D digital art and animation, I have had to confront the most difficult challenge in my art thus far: letting go.
My art often has a mind and agency of its own, snaking its way through production with little care of the direction I might’ve originally aimed at. Often it’s a fantastical, curious, and gentle sort of self-creation, and one that, try as I might, I can never fully dictate. Because of this, my digital storytelling becomes quite self-actualized, and serves as a foundation of inspiration, as well as an uplifting suggestion that leaves viewers pondering what other possibilities could exist in the world I’ve created. My work is never done, and can be picked apart and added to until I’m blue in the face. So I have learned when is the right time to let a work be done, and let it find its conclusion naturally, without much fight. I’ve found this to be the greatest lesson in my art process thus far, and hope I can take this philosophy with me for every creative project I tackle.
